This was my first time to this part of the country, and I love the mountains and the jungle Not only were we able to use our resort credits to journey into the mountains for a fantastic zipline adventure, we could also drink in the serenity of the mountains as they overlook Banderas Bay. We were treated to some amazingly beautiful sunsets, too. All of the staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful what a treat. Milton stood out from the beginning with his willingness to communicate with us by email before we arrived, to schedule activities and spa time for us. We had romantic dinner on the beach one night, chocolate wrap in the spa, city tour, and channel tour. More spa time, and the zipline adventure balanced our walk along the malecon, and we came home with so many fabulous memories I like the way the resort decorated for Halloween, and I appreciated learning about Day of the Dead. I thought it was fun to see so many of the staff dressed up in varying costumes. The food options were great we could always get something to eat. Frida was a solid choice in that time between restaurant hours, and the pizza hut as a close runner up LOL Cafetto seemed to always provide me the light sweet snack when I needed one. I love being able to choose what I want from buffets, and it was great that I could choose from oriental or Italian sit down al a carte service when I was in that mood. Orlando and Gaby did a fine job showing us how to fold napkins, and I give them credit for dressing up and promoting their nightly activities all throughout the day. The clothesline in the shower makes it simple to hang up suits to dry. And the turn down service each evening was pleasant and made me feel special. Lets say first that service os OUTSTANDING Toro, Hugo, Hector, Alex, Edgar and Montana are just amazing. They are by far the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever seen. On the not so great side, the food needs a serious improvement. Breakfast is ok but despite the options for lunch and dinner the cuisine is less than mediocre. Restaurants feel also very outdated. The Zen restaurant is very loud and food is poorly prepared. Over all is a good experience and also great location, the beach is nice and totally safe. The staff are amazing and make our experience both relaxing and memorable. Chuy is a delight and made sure our beverage needs were satisfied around the pool, even reserving chairs for our friends. El Toro kept us entertained around the pool. Rosa knows how to make the perfect appletini, and Guadalupe always made sure our breakfast experience was top notch.
